Telepathic Gaming today announced that their first game, What it Takes, is now available exclusively for iPhone and iPod Touch. What it Takes is a highly addictive, multiplayer word and number game, where players compete in quick 1 minute rounds to eventually determine who the winner is.
In What it Takes, players compete by earning points for forming words, reaching numerical targets, and solving 7 letter anagrams. To earn maximum points in the word rounds, a player should utilise the word and letter multipliers effectively to produce big scores. The number round scoring system is tiered, so the closer a player gets to the numerical target, the more points they will earn. Earning maximum points in the anagram rounds is simple – solve the anagram faster than your opponent, and you are awarded the points!
“We’re incredibly excited to release What it Takes, and we have no doubt that people are going to find this fun, rewarding and utterly compelling,” said Ryan Mulrooney and Daniel Skinner, founders of Telepathic Gaming. “Rather than being your standard turn based game, where you only play to beat your opponent, we wanted What it Takes to reward it’s players by allowing them to earn experience points, badges and prestige titles upon completion of games, depending on their performance,” said Mulrooney. In addition to these features, the game has also expanded on current game designs by recording player statistics in personal profiles, and allowing players to view their opponent’s profile during a game to see how they compare. “The lack of recorded statistics on other word and puzzle games was something that we really wanted to address,” said Skinner.
What it Takes is now available world-wide for free from Apple’s App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch
