Gato SalvajeStudio, an enthusiastic and dedicated video game developer located in Spain, is thrilled to announce today that their crowd-funded classic point-and-click adventure game AR-K has been released on Steam®! In celebration of the game’s first appearance on Steam, the current chapters of AR-K are being offered as a package, combining the remastered Chapter 1: Gone with the Sphere and the new Chapter 2: The Girl Who Wasn’t There for an amazing $7.99 during its initial week of sales, after which the regular price will be $9.99.

Developed with the powerful Unity 3D graphic engine, AR-K will have players taking on the role of former policewoman and current journalism student Alicia in a showcase of splendid 3D graphics and animation. AR-K’s episodic story will be told over 4 chapters, each of which will be released on Steam and the aforementioned platforms throughout the year. Although each chapter builds upon the previous events, adding more layers of suspense, humor, romance, and satire, they can also be played individually. STORY
AR-K tells the story of Alicia, former cop turned journalist, who wakes up one morning with a massive hangover. It is obvious that she was out drinking the night before, but she has no idea how much she had. The only thing she can (barely) remember is a one-night stand with an unknown man, though she cannot even be sure if that happened. She then learns about a mysterious Golden Sphere, an object that seems to be the key to discovering what happened…

NEW TEAM
Having successfully garnered the support of fans worldwide during the course of its KickStartercampaign, Gato SalvajeStudio has been able to bring in some fantastic talent in order to assist in creating an even higher-quality game in AR-K. Critically acclaimed comic book writer Greg Rucka has been brought in to write Chapters 3 and 4 of the game’s story, and he also joined the editing team for Chapters 1 and 2 to sprinkle his flavor on the original script. Rucka is well known for his writing, particularly for his abilities in crafting and capturing female characters. His admirable skills bring even more entertainment and mystery to the world of AR-K! In addition, the game will be receiving top-notch talent in the portrayal of its main character. Gato SalvajeStudio has teamed up with Ash Sroka to provide the voice of Alicia. Sroka will be joining the team from the re-mastered Chapter 1 onward. Her distinct and captivating voice will provide wit and humor, and will drive Alicia to another level entirely. Greg Rucka is one of the most renowned comic writers of this generation. His work can be found in DC Comics (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman), Marvel (Elektra, Spider-Man, Wolverine), and Oni Press (Queen & Country, Stumptown, and Whiteout). His novels (the Atticus Kodiak series and ALPHA) have been translated into over a dozen languages. He also worked on the story for the 2007 PlayStation® Portable game Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow.

Ash Sroka is a captivating voice actress whose voice work is perhaps most widely known for her role as Tali’Zorahvas Normandy in the Mass Effect Trilogy. Sroka’sentrancing voice acting exhibits the solidity and charm of her character, and her talented voice acting can be also found in the animated series, Blood+, which aired from 2005 to 2006, as Sonia/Beni/Anne-Marie.
