Can you hear them humming? ByteRockers’ new free-to-play game BeeFense is released. It interprets the classic Tower Defense Game pricklier than ever.
It’s buzzing und humming at the App Store, Google Play Store and Windows Phone Store: The commanders of BeeFense’ troops in black and yellow are now fighting for their honeypots. Players of the free-to-play game are defending a busy bee colony against advancing hornets and at the same time also securing their own existence as bees are crucial for our entire ecosystem.
Bees vs. Hornets – Everything for Honey!
In almost every human culture, the bee is seen as a symbol of diligence and zeal. But, as if the daily grind of our bees wasn’t busy enough, the colony of Queen Nektarine also has to deal with Queen Hornetta. The bees normally live in peace with the hornets, but human pesticides have changed Hornetta… The purpose of the game is to prevent the aggressive hornets from conquering your own bee hive. Therefore, the player has to build and operate several defiance towers in order to keep intruders away.
Nectar and Honeydew Promise Success
Mobile strategists will be highly entertained by BeeFense. The player can choose between five different defense towers with ten special characteristics and place them strategically in order to protect the beehive and keep the hard earned honey supplies. Resources, such as nectar and honeydew, are necessary to operate and improve the defense towers. That’s the only way the player can handle every task. The attacks of the nasty opponents keep getting more challenging with every level. It’s crystal clear: BeeFense is the kind of game that is easy to learn but hard to master.
Save the Bees!
Even our ancestors saw the bee as a mystical creature that was obeyed and adored in many cultures and rightfully so! Bees and other insects have played an important role for the ecosystem of our planet for millions of years. The majority of our biodiversity depends directly and indirectly on bees. Through pollination, they contribute to the upkeeping of flowering plants. 30% of our food would not exist/would be non-existent without bees. But the changing environmental conditions are threatening swarms of bees worldwide. Exciting adventures will communicate the dangers for bees and show the player how human beings affect the nature. BeeFense thereby wants to contribute actively yet entertainingly to controlling pollution.
