Tile-based sci-fi digital boardgame Galaxy of Trian launching on Steam and Android on October 18
Grey Wizard Innovative announced today that Galaxy of Trian, a digital boardgame based on the popular tile-based sci-fi boardgame of the same name, is coming to Steam and Android next week. Building on the original boardgame and the digital version that was released on iOS, Galaxy of Trian features turn based strategy with various play options in both single and multiplayer modes.
“We’ve been working on the game ever since the iOS release, shaving and reworking it to bring it as close to perfection as possible for launch on the Steam and Android platforms,” said Piotr Zygadlo, Studio Director on Galaxy of Trian. “One of the most important features to get right was the cross-platform functionality that would ensure that fans of the game can play it on and across any and all platforms, and we can’t wait for players to start finding and playing each other online.”
Galaxy of Trian is a fast-paced digital boardgame about space exploration and control. During the game, players take command over one of a few opposing races fighting over a territory and technology left by a powerful race called Trian. Players take turns exploring and claiming the tiles that make up the board, allowing the placement of stations and collection of precious minerals. By upgrading stations and performing various other tasks, players collect points towards a pre-designated total to win the game.
Galaxy of Trian contains a single player campaign as well as multiplayer modes against AI and/or human opponents, including a “correspondence mode” where players can take as long as they need for their turn in multiplayer without feeling tied to the game.
Galaxy of Trian is already available on the App Store for $6.99 / € 6.99 / £4.99, and will be coming to Steam and Android on October 18, providing cross-platform functionality between all platforms.
