SFB Games Limited today announced that their recently Greenlit game Haunt the House: Terrortown is being released on the Steam store on June 6th, 2014. Originally created for and launched on Sony’s PlayStation Mobile platform for PlayStation Vita in January 2013, the game was subsequently ported to PC and self-published through the games own website on Halloween 2013. In January 2014, the game was submitted to Steam’s Greenlight system, and was put through after just 18 days, reaching the #6 spot out of the ~1,500 games in the system at the time.
Haunt the House: Terrortown puts the player in the role of a mischievous ghost, out to clear his town of the noisy, troublesome, living inhabitants. By possessing any inanimate object and using his ghostly powers, he can terrify the townsfolk and drive them out, apart from a select few – there’s another fate in store for them… Beautiful 2D graphics, an energetic original score and a cast of talented voices bring this award-winning game to life… Or the afterlife.
The new Steam edition includes a graphical upgrade to full 1080p, Steam achievements and trading cards, plus XBox 360 controller support. It’ll be available for $3.99 from Friday June 6th 2014 to Friday for the first week, and be $4.99 from Friday June 13th 2014 thereafter.
