Guildford Start-up Magic Notion has released its first mobile game Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker next month and dating sims will never be the same again, if expert love diva Kitty Powers has her way.
Magic Notion was formed in January of last year by Richard Franke (@auntierich) who has worked at several Guildford studios: Mucky Foot, EA Criterion, where he was Creative Director, and latterly Media Molecule. Combining witty humour with stylish graphics, Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker’s fun frivolous exterior is underpinned by some impressive tech, with dynamic dialogue and an in depth simulation. This means that gamers can expect many hours of gameplay matchmaking procedurally generated customers, sending them on dates fraught with ‘Dating Dilemma’ mini games, and building up a successful and profitable dating agency.
Through Facebook players can send their avatars to friend’s agencies to check out the competition and can also match make their friends and send them on dates.
Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker is camp, kitsch and compelling with a unique sense of fun. Kitty is always on hand with her special brand of advice and guidance and adds a new dimension to the simulation genre.
