Save The World From Extinction in JumpJet Rex From TreeFortress Games

Independent video game developer TreeFortress Games revealed its newest game, 2-D, old school-inspired platformer JumpJet Rex, will officially launch on Steam after a short stint in Early Access starting today. A throwback to strenuous platformer games of old, JumpJet Rex features fast-paced gameplay in a 16-bit aerospace world, where players take control of a Tyrannosaurs Rex with interstellar jump boots in order to save dino-kind from extinction by a giant asteroid. Players interested in leaping into Early Access can download JumpJet Rex at

In JumpJet Rex, players will jump, drop and dash through more than 40 puzzling levels – 12 in Early Access – and race against the clock to not only preserve life during the Mesozoic era, but also prove their platforming prowess against other dino enthusiasts. Gamers can take on challenges alone, face their own ghost and team up with another explorer in co-op mode, where players must work together to save the world.

“We’ve always been fans of difficult old school platformers that challenged our skill and sanity, and as an independent studio we have the freedom to make the games that we want to play,” said Mike Gaboury, art director of TreeFortress Games. “With JumpJet Rex, we have created a game that is easy to pick up, fun to play, hard to master, and even harder to put down. Plus you get to play as a T-Rex with space boots, which is pretty rad!”
