Soccer Manager Ltd. are delighted to announce Soccer Manager 2015, a fast-paced football management simulation designed for mobile and accessible from anywhere via cross-platform play, is available to download now for free on PC and both Google Play and the App Store.
Investment partners Mercia Fund (http://www.merciafund.co.uk/ ), the technology-focused investment business, provided initial funding in 2014 to support the development of Soccer Manager 2015 and prove out the concept of the game. Nick Wheelwright, former CEO of Codemasters, has been appointed as Executive Chairman of Soccer Manager Ltd, to help bring the game to market.
Soccer Manager 2015’s cross-platform play means gamers can manage their favourite team wherever they are. They simply create an account and select a team, then access that team either via an App or in their browser. The game is stored in the cloud and backed up offline, so it’s always accessible – allowing football fans to indulge in their passion anywhere and everywhere!
The team behind Soccer Manager 2015 have already taken on board valuable feedback from their consumers and will continue to work on the development of the game with a whole raft of new features and improvements under way, such as a 2D matchday experience that is currently being tested. Mercia’s funding and support will extend into 2015 to allow continued implementation of community requests into the game and to help market the game to a wider audience.
“We have been very pleased with the way Soccer Manager 2015 has performed since its beta late last year and launch this month,” commented Andy Gore, CEO, Soccer Manager. “The game is already great fun to play but we will continue to strive to make the worlds best free soccer management sim and ensure we continue to listen to what our community wants. We’re grateful for the support and expertise we’ve been able to access via our partnership with Mercia Fund – they’ve enabled us to build a product we’re proud of.”
“Mercia aim to offer continued support and investment to all their partners and it is especially exciting to see this partnership bringing a fantastic game to market,” said Mike Hayes, Head of Digital and e-commerce at Mercia. “Now Soccer Manager 2015 has launched we are looking forward to partnering with the team to help fund a successful marketing campaign later this year.”
Brothers Andy, Chris and Steven Gore founded SoccerManager.com in 2004. The studio is also responsible for the successful turn-based multiplayer game, Soccer Manager Worlds, released in 2005. Soccer Manager 2015 is the second title developed by the team to be released and is the culmination of three years development.
