Construction Simulator 2 is set to release in Q4 for iPhone, iPad and Android devices (Video)

Put on your hard hat and let’s get to work! Publisher astragon Entertainment GmbH and developer weltenbauer. Software Entwicklung GmbH, builders of magnificent digital constructions, are happy to reveal the new setting for Construction Simulator 2, the sequel to the multi-million downloaded Construction Simulator 2014, set to release in Q4 for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

Inspired by the Californian West Coast, Construction Simulator 2 is set in the fictional US state of Westside Plains. The brand new gameplay trailer reveals a massive game world of around 7.5 square kilometers divided into four areas that are gradually unlocked as the player progresses in their career. Earnings from successful construction projects will enable builders to expand their vehicle fleet and, with a diverse choice of licensed construction vehicles and machines from manufacturers including Cat® and LIEBHERR®, make their very own American Dream come true.

Continuing with the aim of making Construction Simulator 2 the most realistic and immersive simulation game of its type on handheld devices, astragon Entertainment and weltenbauer. Software are also excited to announce a licensing partnership with PALFINGER AG, internationally renowned for its innovative, reliable and efficient hydraulic lifting devices for commercial vehicles.

Thanks to this license agreement the faithfully recreated Cat® CT660 truck will be equipped with an officially licensed PALFINGER® PK 27002 SH loading crane. This powerful loading crane has a maximum operation range of 29.4 m, a lifting moment of 255.0 kNm as well as a maximum lifting force of 9,300 kg. This means that the player will be able to safely deliver and perfectly load big cargo and building materials in the game’s many operation sites.

Commenting on the partnership, Tim Schmitz, Head of Products at astragon Entertainment GmbH said, “Thanks to the license partnership with PALFINGER we have another strong partner on board for Construction Simulator 2. This is a great development both for us and the many fans of the game, and we are hoping to welcome many more well-known partners in the near future.”

Hannes Hemetsberger, Head of Brand Management at PALFINGER AG also commented, “We are pleased that our fans will now also get the opportunity to use our products in the digital world and we think that Construction Simulator 2 is the ideal branding platform for the gaming oriented target audience.”
