Since its launch over the holiday season, Steam Early Access Game “Death Goat” by Terminal Press, an arcade shooter with an expansive Heavy Metal Soundtrack, has amassed over 10,000 downloads while providing regular updates and new content to its community of players.
Today’s update sees the largest addition of content yet with seven new songs, along with performance enhancements and improvements. Joining the already extensive roster of artists are some of the most exciting acts fans of Heavy Metal should be be keeping an eye on, including Aegaeon, Brutai, Kardashev, Extinction Level Event, Dawn Of Leviathan, Mare Cognitum and NYN.
Along with the goal of introducing players to a wide variety of Metal bands and genres, Death Goat has openly engaged its community during the early access development process, with plans to continually add major content updates while taking into account player feedback. These will go beyond the frequent additions of new music and begin to include new core game content, modes and features in the coming months.
“An Early Access release has allowed us to develop our game in a non-traditional manner, letting it evolve organically over time. We’re just getting started shaping Death Goat and working towards building the largest catalog of Metal music in gaming” says co-creator Brian Ferrara.
