There Came an Echo now available on the PlayStation 4 (Video)

Iridium Studios, developer of the critically acclaimed Before the Echo, is proud to announce that its second title, There Came an Echo is now available as a console exclusive on the PlayStation 4 for $14.99. The game features a complex, cyberpunk narrative starring Wil Wheaton, Laura Bailey, Yuri Lowenthal, Ashly Burch, and more. An accompanying PS4 dynamic theme has been released alongside it for $1.99.

“Talking to people in real life is terrifying,” said Jason Wishnov, CEO of Iridium Studios, who is irrationally scared of most things. “That’s why we’re happy to release There Came an Echo; not only can you get some good practice in, but you get to boss Wil Wheaton around, too.”

Players will soon be able to order their units across the battlefield with standard commands (“All units, move to alpha three!”) as well as custom commands they can enter themselves (“Hey dude, drop several things as though they were hot”). Narratively, they’ll watch as Corrin Webb, played by Wil Wheaton, is thrown into a worldwide game over global intrigue over a piece of transhumanist technology that threatens to upend the world’s status quo.

“The video games are art argument has been driven into the ground, jumped the shark, and is now a dead horse. The blend of aural mastery, colorful art-design and general oddity, however, make There Came an Echo a nearly unrivaled sensory experience.”
