The dystopian shooter storyworld of indie game Beyond Flesh and Blood is to undergo a quaint, Christmas transformation.
Even the city’s residents have taken to wearing Santa hats.
Oh wait…THE SNOWBALLS ARE DEADLY! THE CANDY CANES ARE WAY TOO BIG! THE PRESENTS EXPLODE IN YOUR FACE!
Still located within the celebrated city-centre setting of Manchester, pre-alpha demo version 0.04 or rather, demo version 0.0XMAS, is available to download from the following outlets:
Main website: http://beyond-xmas.net
…And your publication if you’d like to host it. [Please contact us if so.]
There will also be Christmas themed videos and stories released for the game’s ‘5 Days of Fleshmas’ from Saturday 20th to 25th December.
Fed up of the Christmas sales? Did someone beat you to that generic silver bracelet for the missus? Don’t worry. That’s why Pixelbomb Games created the new CHRISTMAS DEMO MODE for Beyond Flesh and Blood, because Christmas just isn’t festive unless you can run around in android suits while smashing the absolute s*** out of your enemies.
…Understandably, the co-lead developers have rather varying views on this demo.
Lee Blacklock, co-lead developer, said: “My favourite parts are the physics applied to the santa hat, and the fiery explosions which have been replaced with snowflakes.”
Philip Muwanga, co-lead developer said: “Bah, humbug.”
COME, BREAK OUR DEMO
BREAK IT! We want pre-alpha feedback from everyone’s who’s played. Break it, get it stuck, and find the bugs we’ve missed.
The game will be launching on Steam with console announcements expected in Q4 2015.
Have a very Merry Christmas from Pixelbomb Games!
Beyond Flesh and Blood
A graphically-intense nod to the 3rd person shooter genre, Beyond Flesh and Blood challenges players to blast through multiple levels of hostile scavenger forces and mutating enemy threats on a mission to help reclaim the surface of Earth – starting with dystopian Manchester.
Players jack into advanced multi-ability combat rigs, battle a range of formidable enemies and mech weapon systems across the post-apocalyptic UK city in fast-paced gameplay that will push shooter skills to the limit.
Beyond Flesh and Blood will release on PC later this year, and the studio aim to release on XBOX One and Playstation 4 in 2015.
