Polygon’s “Most Interesting Indie” at SXSW, Klang, Signs with Publisher, Snow Cannon Games, for a Mid to Late 2016 Launch (Video)

Publisher, Snow Cannon Games, and developer, Tinimations, today announced that they will launch Klang, the innovative rhythm platformer named “SXSW’s most interesting indie” by Polygon’s Brian Crecente, in mid to late 2016.

In Klang, players assume the role of a tuneblade-wielding, elite rave warrior (named Klang) on a quest to free himself from the shackles of Soundlord Sonus. To progress, players must become one with the music—composed by legendary EDM artist, bLiNd―as they battle their way through increasingly challenging levels, timing every action and attack to audio visual cues.

“Klang is not your average rhythm game,” said Tom-Ivar Arntzen, CEO of Tinimations. “It pushes the genre’s boundaries beyond pressing buttons to tempo to incorporate exploration, platforming and combat. This multitasking, in addition to Klang’s unique look and sound, are what separate it from other titles in the genre.”

“We’re excited to help Tinimations bring Klang to the world,” said Espen Askvik, CEO of Snow Cannon Games. “The title puts a fresh and engaging twist on the rhythm genre that will certainly challenge hardcore rhythm players, but can also be enjoyed by the broader action audience.”
