7 Pips – A Simple Math Puzzle With Much Of Strategic Depth

** 7 Pips is NOT a 2048 / THREES clone **

As much fun as THREES (and its legion of clones and ripoffs) can be, there may exist a subset of players that yearn for a similar game but one that would pose a greater challenge to the mind. 7 Pips is meant for that group of players. With rules that are easier to understand when played than when read, this game requires some levels of planning ahead if a player wants to achieve a satisfactory high score. 7 Pips is an endless/survival style puzzle game that will definitely give it’s serious players a gratifying mental work out with the rule set of a casual game.

The rules are simple: Place tiles of dice faces on the board, the value on the face gets added to adjacent same colors or subtracted from adjacent different colors, clear away and score tiles when their face gets nudged to exactly 7. Game is over when the board fills up. The trick to scoring big points is to clear multiple adjacent tiles with a single move for an exponentially greater score bonus.

7 Pips was already released on the Windows Phone 8 platform as part of a Unity-Microsoft Developer Programme. It had received numerous 4/5 stars reviews from players and is regularly being featured on the Windows Phone 8 Store. 7 Pips was listed as one of Nokia’s 10 Best New Games of July 2014 and had also received a review from the renowned WPCentral. iOS and Play Store specific features (Leaderboards) have been added for the respective soon to be released versions.

7 Pips will be available in the Apple iOS Appstore and Google Play Store from 11th September 2014.
