Japanese game developer CYBIRD Co., Ltd. launched its new football game BFB Champions: Global Kick-Off in Japan today. The app will also go into soft launch in selected European countries from July 1, meaning that would-be managers in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands will be able to get their hands on the game early. The app is now available in those countries on iOS and Android via the App Store and Google Play, and stars Diego Maradona as a player in the game. A full western release will take place later this year, with the app eventually scheduled for release in 98 countries – so players can prove their managerial mettle against rivals from all over the world.
BFB Champions: Global Kick-Off is a sequel to the acclaimed soccer game BFB 2016. BFB 2016 was downloaded over 3.5 million times in Japan and Hong Kong, and over 300,000 people signed up for BFB Champions before its launch thanks to a special preregistration bonus campaign. Developer Cybird is hoping that the game will be just as successful when it is released in the west later this year.
The game allows you to take on the role of a football club manager. Collect players for your squad, train them across a series of minigames, and then choose your formation and tactics to compete in leagues around the world. And when you have mastered the singleplayer Career Mode, get ready to step up to take part in the game’s regular multiplayer tournaments to see if you have what it takes to become World No.1!
Thanks to the successful preregistration bonus campaign, everyone who downloads and plays the game when it is released later this year will receive a bunch of bonus items in the game, including Scout Tickets, to get more players for your squad, Coach items to train your players, and even Diego Maradona himself, ready to help you take on the world.
