Kiss Ltd and Kilted Camel are please to announce that Defend the Highlands is set to leave Steam’s Early Access program today, Friday 6 November 2015.

This is the second Kiss published Early Access game in recent months to move to a full launch (Bedlam being the other) and by no means our last. Over the last few months, the developer has received and incorporated loads of feedback from the gaming community. The result is an even better game!

Key enhancements made to the game since it originally launched July 2015 include:•New Features including a mini-map and tutorial
•Visual/Audio Enhancements, including an actual Scotsman doing the Scottish voices (!!) and all Scotsmen now play bagpipes in sync with each other (amazing!)
•UI Improvements including extra tooltips and more descriptive tooltips.
•Gameplay/Balancing Changes including improved enemy AI (your farmers will no longer desert when you run out of porridge – phew!) and reduced cost of whisky at the bar (result!).
•Bug Fixes based on some excellent player feedback.

Defend the Highlands combines the genres of Tower Defence, Real Time Strategy and Scotland. Build defences, recruit from the best highland clans, manage their porridge stockpile and fight off the invading English. If Mel Gibson had used these tactics in Braveheart, the history of Scotland would have been VERY different!
